This collaborative project provides a comprehensive and constantly updated resource for informing and connecting our communities with our waters.

The NSRK Swim Guide app and website received over 60,000 views in the last two bathing seasons. We post water quality updates for faecal coliform and cyanobacteria (blue-green algae). Our data is taken from monitoring data from Alberta Health Services (AHS) as well as pollution reports submitted from water users around Alberta.

Our Swim Guide is updated everyday throughout the monitoring season. This year, AHS began monitoring sites in early June.

We encourage you to check the app or website before you go swimming to ensure you protect your health during the beautiful summer season.
